Privacy compliance

Quebec Law 25

Shomerli is a Quebec-based company and complies with Law 25 (formerly Bill 64), the modernized Quebec personal information protection regime.

What Law 25 means for you

Law 25 gives Quebec residents enhanced rights over their personal information: the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to erase, and to data portability. It also requires us to report privacy incidents to the CAI (Commission d'accès à l'information) when applicable.

How we comply

We collect only the data needed to operate the filtering service. We host customer data inside Canada. We have a designated Privacy Officer (the company founder). We conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) before launching any feature that handles personal information. Our retention schedule is documented in our Privacy Policy.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted at any time. We answer within 30 days as required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the CAI.
